Every Question Answered with a Question on the End.

26 years, undiagnosed.

Why am I in pain?

Why am I so tired?

Why did I lose my teeth at 22?

Diagnosis: a judgment about what a particular illness or problem is, made after examining it.

I thought a diagnosis would bring closure, provide direction, an end to the dismissiveness of my doctors. But every question answered with a question on the end.

Through photographic processes, I began a journey of self-reflection, grappling with the answers I finally received, answers that changed nothing. Exploring the isolation, the pain, the exhaustion, the hospital visits. Daily moments that felt sterile but were routine. Across the series, I combine approaches that mark and blur. The search before diagnosis. The search after. My body, the specimen. Every question answered with a question on the end.
